LumaCite has two separate Chrome extensions. Choose by the task you want to finish: a citation you can copy now, or references you want to keep and use in a document. You do not need to install both to use the public website tools.
Which extension do you need?

LumaCite Citation Generator
Open it on a source page, review the bibliographic details, select a style, and copy or export the result. You can also enter an identifier, title, or URL. It is the simpler choice for a reference you need immediately, without setting up a library.

Working outside Chrome? Use the online citation generator. For a list of identifiers, use the bulk citation generator. Always check the returned source and publication details before using a citation.
LumaCite — Capture & Cite BETA
Choose this extension for a connected library workflow. Capture references from supported research websites, save them to your LumaCite library, and work with citations and a bibliography in Google Docs. Installing it does not create or approve a library account.

The browser capture walkthrough shows the collection controls. The organization guide covers folders, labels, and search; Cite and write explains the Google Docs workflow.
Start with the access you need
- For a single citation, install Citation Generator or open the online tool. Review the result before copying it.
- For a cloud library, submit the beta request first. Once approved, sign in through the library login.
- Install Capture & Cite from its official listing. When using Google Docs citation features, complete the Google authorization requested for that workflow.
If you already have an approved account, use the library login rather than submitting another beta request. Public citation, extraction, and conversion tools remain available separately from library access.
Help, permissions, and updates
Check the official Store listing for each extension's current version, permissions, and installation details. The privacy policy explains data handling across the two extensions and the library. For support, include the extension name and the step that failed in your message to LumaCite. Keep private manuscripts and account details out of public comments.
